I am a fiber artist living 20 miles from the Northeast gate to Yellowstone National Park. We live just off the Chief Joesph Highway. Walk, ski or snowshoe everyday. I am a founding member of the 1st Textile Art group in Wyoming, Textile Artists of the Greater Yellowstone. One last thing, I am terrible at updating my blog. I always promise to do better but so far I fail at that. Must be because I am busy creating art??

NQA no more,
This was the last Sew Batik Challenge for the National Quilt Association I made. I loved doing these challenges but the NQA is no more. The moose and trees are thread painted. Sometimes when I look at this piece the moose looks like it is turning toward me and other times it is just crossing, not an intentional optical illusion but a fun one. The blue water is the fabric that was required and furnished by the challenge. The theme was "Down by the River"

Again….White poppies
I know I have put this on my blog before but I think it worth another go. I had started this many years ago, just a few years ago pulled it out to finish it.

Elephants at the zoo
This was a huge elephant at the zoo. Was also a surprise when water squirted out of the trunk. Funnier yet was that they got off the trunk to check it out and it would not squirt again. Lots of fun was had that day.

1st part of November!!!
I was surprised when I walked out the backdoor to our yard and found this monarch butterfly. We had had a frost, but not snow. It was moving very slow which allowed me to pick it up. When I sat it back down on the ground it flew away. A pretty surprise.

My goals for 2017
#1- Paint every room in my house, a last year goal.
#2- Once again, I would love to do more fiber art and I am including this on my #2 because these are both last year goals I felt I accomplished… blog blog blog.
#3- Downsize everything, our new home design is much smaller than this home. So, although I have already started this goal, I have a long way to go. 35 years in this home and I am not moving all of the nook and crannies full of stuff.
#4- Plant lots of trees in Crandall, I absolutely hate the view from our new home sight of our neighbors, so trees are being planted.
#5- Be kind to those that are not, generous to those that are in need, understanding of those that differ in opinion.
