I am a fiber artist living 20 miles from the Northeast gate to Yellowstone National Park. We live just off the Chief Joesph Highway. Walk, ski or snowshoe everyday. I am a founding member of the 1st Textile Art group in Wyoming, Textile Artists of the Greater Yellowstone. One last thing, I am terrible at updating my blog. I always promise to do better but so far I fail at that. Must be because I am busy creating art??

Heart Mountain Exhibit has moved...
This is the Heart Mountain exhibit!! 22 Quilts, 17 artists. We moved this exhibit from the HM exhibit hall to the HM theatre. All have been donated to the Heart Mountain Foundation. It will one day be a traveling exhibit with hopes of educating the public on the illegal imprisonment of over 100,0000 Japanese Americans during WW2.
The Textile Artists of the Greater Yellowstone are the artists of these beautiful quilts. After visiting the Heart Mountain Center many times we put those impressions into these quilts. They are moving, they bring tears to many of the visitors. And… it will soon be a book so you can bring all these quilts home.
