I am a fiber artist living 20 miles from the Northeast gate to Yellowstone National Park. We live just off the Chief Joesph Highway. Walk, ski or snowshoe everyday. I am a founding member of the 1st Textile Art group in Wyoming, Textile Artists of the Greater Yellowstone. One last thing, I am terrible at updating my blog. I always promise to do better but so far I fail at that. Must be because I am busy creating art??

"Penny"
"Penny" is 1 of 2 fiberglass forms of a bear. Last fall I started placing pennies on this form with E6000 glue. I worked on Penny at our cabin for most of the fall. I ended up with a little carpal tunnel and tennis elbow. Those pains took most of the long Wyoming winter to heal. This was caused because I bent the pennies to fit the form. I finished her up this Spring and have now grouted her with black grout. Russ cleaned most of the glue off the pennies. I still have a little more grouting to do on the bottom edge. Then… I will take Penny to Cody Paint and Body for a clear coating and it will be a permanent part of our new home in Crandall. Love how this girl looks, she makes me smile every time I look at her.
